So after our full day exploring Wadi Rum (you can see it all here in this blog post), we decided to end things with some tea and music with the locals as we watched the sunset.
We climbed up to look out over the desert to make the most of the last bit of sunshine before calling down for tea.
Also, when you’re in Wadi Rum, it’s important to remember that you’re in the desert because the minute the sun goes down, it gets colder.
This, by the way, is why we needed that fire. to warm up.
Well, that and the fact that they needed something to boil water for tea.
Once the sun had properly set, we packed up and headed back to our ‘home’ in Wadi Rum – Yado Aicha Luxury CampFor dinner and to rest before packing up for our next destination in Jordan.
The next morning, we boarded the same truck again and drove through the desert to the entrance where our pre-arranged car was waiting to take us to our next destination in Jordan – Aqaba.
Aqaba is actually the city we flew into when we arrived in Jordan so our final stop was very deliberate so decided to stay here.
Aqaba is also the only city on the coast in Jordan and is famous as a place where people go on vacation in Jordan because it is next to the Red Sea and it’s crystal clear water.
Our whole plan for Aqaba was to lean towards what it is famous for and that is a nice piece of relaxation and comfort.
With that in mind, we booked in Al Manara, a luxury collection hotelWhich is quite a treat.
The rooms are very nice and spacious and the hotel is right on the beach so it’s very nice and easy to relax.
I’d like to tell you that we did a lot of exploring while we were here or we even snorkeled around the area but honestly, the hardest thing we did was go to the spa for a massage and immediately go for dinner.
Our flight was the next morning and we fully intended to leave Jordan nice and relaxed.
So it is.
That is what we found in Jordan. In case you missed it – here’s what we did on our first proper day in Petra (and what we did later that afternoon).
Here’s what we did when we traveled to the Dead Sea and explored incredible historical sites in Jordan.
Then here’s a post on that view in Jordan we definitely don’t recommend going looking for.
This is what we did on our first day in Wadi Rum.
Here are the amazing places we visited on our second day in Wadi Rum.
And all that brings us to where we are now in Aqaba. If you have any questions, please ask us through this Our Instagram page here.
