The Sydney International Convention Center (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, has once again produced standout graduates from the AIPC Future Shapers Leadership Program. The graduate received the recognition after a compelling on-stage presentation aimed at addressing industry challenges during the AIPC Congress in Costa Rica this week.
The ‘FutureForce’ team of AIPC Future Shapers, led by ICC Sydney’s Gabriela Alberici, Senior Manager of Business Development for Corporate, Government and Events and supported by Samantha Glass, Director of Corporate Affairs, Communications and Sustainability, received the recognition alongside the College. Convention centers in Paris, Belfast and Kuala Lumpur. They unveiled a groundbreaking technological platform designed to attract talent globally and enhance career development, networking and learning, while raising awareness of the business events industry and optimizing its most important resource—its people.
Geoff Donaghy, CEO of ICC Sydney and Group Director of Convention Centers for ASM Global (APAC), praised Gabriela and Samantha for their dedication to innovation and their role in disseminating these ideas through AIPC’s global network.

This latest achievement extends the legacy of ICC Sydney’s AIPC Future Shapers alumni, with team members participating annually in the leadership program since its inception. Notable participants include the national association’s senior manager of business development, Dana Fish, and Sathyan Chandrasekhar, financial controller in 2023, Sandra Rai, senior manager of public relations in 2022.
AIPC CEO Sven Bosu leads the Future Shapers program, which is supported by an international taskforce in designing and implementing the course. It features program founder Samantha Glass, ICC Sydney’s director of corporate affairs, communications and sustainability.
Samantha Glass said: “We have decided to offer a unique program to boost the leadership and entrepreneurial skills of our industry’s top performers. This year participants once again presented practical solutions to solve industry problems – attracting and retaining our brand and thereby improving and clarifying communication for talent and operational teams across centres.
I could not be more proud of their collective efforts and performance throughout the nine-month program. I wish them every success in the future as they take their learning back to their organizations – while helping to enhance and shape the future of events around the world.
