Arizona’s first Grand Hyatt will open this fall
The highly anticipated Hyatt Glow-Up is expected to debut later this year in one of Arizona’s most popular destinations.
The Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort, the result of a $115 million renovation at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch, will open its rebranded doors this fall. The property, which will be the first Grand Hyatt outpost in Arizona, will include 496 guest rooms as well as private casitas and suites. But the ultimate splurge will be the Gainey House, a two-story, 2,450-square-foot private residence with a chef’s kitchen and two bedrooms.
The rebranded Hyatt will also include six new culinary concepts developed in partnership with celebrity chef Richard Blais. The 10-acre pool complex includes 10 swimming pools, a sandy beach and a three-story waterslide. Those seeking tranquility can relax in the whirlpool spa or check out the resort’s Spa Avanya, which has 19 treatment rooms and a Himalayan salt room.
Outdoor enthusiasts will have plenty to do at the resort, which leans into its surrounding Sonoran Desert landscape. Jogging paths and bike trails abound throughout the property, and guests can use complimentary bikes while staying at the hotel. Golfers can check out the nearby Gainey Ranch Golf Club, and there are also tennis and pickleball courts. While you can still check into the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale while renovations are finalized over the next few weeks, the Grand Hyatt’s amenities will begin making their official debut in early October.
The resort expands Hyatt’s presence in Scottsdale, which includes the Andaz Scottsdale Resort and Bungalows.
Those waiting to use their World of Hyatt points at the new Grand Hyatt will be pleased to see plenty of off-peak availability at this Category 6 property later this year, which means award night redemptions start at 21,000 World of Hyatt points.
