China Airlines, Taiwan’s leading carrier, has once again demonstrated its deep commitment to sustainability, winning five prestigious awards at the 2024 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) and Global Corporate Sustainability Awards (GCSA). This remarkable achievement marks the 11th consecutive year the airline has been recognized for its efforts in environmental and social responsibility, a testament to its ongoing dedication to a greener, more sustainable future.

At today’s award ceremony held on December 11, 2024, Environment Minister Chi-Ming Peng personally presented China Airlines Chief Sustainability Officer James Chung with the award. This year, China Airlines also made headlines by operating the first passenger flight powered by Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), in combination with its ECO Travel Program, which guarantees net-zero carbon emissions for both passengers and cargo. Another groundbreaking moment came with the launch of its SAF partnership program for corporate clients, leading to the first SAF-operated passenger flight collaboration in Taiwan and the first SAF refueling to a freighter.
