Hilton may not have as many all-inclusive resorts as its competitors, but the company has been steadily adding new properties to its portfolio over the past few years. Now, Hilton Honors’ 200 million-plus members have a new all-inclusive property to look forward to.

As part of a partnership with Oasis Hotels & Resorts, The Senses Cancun Resort The Senses Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort will rebrand as Tapestry by Hilton and undergo an extensive remodel of guest rooms and public spaces.

Set to reopen in 2026, the updated resort will also feature nine bars and restaurants with new food and beverage options and a new rooftop bar with views over the ocean and Nichupte Lagoon.

Hilton

Sans Cancun brings Hilton’s total number of all-inclusive properties to 15, significantly fewer than its competitors. Hilton has taken an organic approach to building its all-inclusive portfolio, compared to competitors like Hyatt, which acquired nearly 100 you-know-what-you-pay-upfront resorts in a deal with Apple Leisure Group. Just this week, Hyatt increased its all-inclusive collection by 30% through a new partnership with Spanish company Bahia Principe.

“Hilton’s inclusive growth strategy is focused on being in the right place at the right time to meet the needs of today’s global travelers,” Nicole Tilzer, Hilton’s vice president of inclusive and resort strategy, told TPG. “Since 2019, we have increased our global footprint by more than 60%, adding resorts in key destinations around the world.”

Next year, Hilton will welcome another new all-inclusive resort to the family: Xemi Miches All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton in the Dominican Republic. The property will be the first Curio Collection all-inclusive resort, reflecting the trend of major hotel companies merging lifestyle or luxury brands (such as the Curio Collection) with fresh all-inclusive concepts.

Similarly, Marriott also recently opened the first Luxury Collection all-inclusive resort, Sanctuary Cap Cana, in the Dominican Republic, and has already expanded with the October opening of Almare, another Luxury Collection all-inclusive resort in Mexico. .
