Like the seven major lines that account for the majority of cruises taken by North Americans, Celebrity Cruises offers a wide range of itineraries. You’ll find celebrity cruises in almost every corner of the world at some point during the year.

However, the line’s largest presence, by far, is in the Caribbean, Europe and Alaska. In a typical summer, the line would deploy seven of its 13 flagship ships to Europe, while sending the other three to Alaska. That frees up only three ships to be assigned to the Caribbean and the Bahamas, as well as some other destinations such as Bermuda and Canada.

During the winter, the line will move most of these ships to the Caribbean but will also send a few to destinations as far away as Asia and Australia.

For next winter, nine of the line’s 13 flagship ships are scheduled to sail to the Caribbean, and there will be three ships visiting Asia and Australia.

Celebrity is also a major player in Galapagos sailing, with three additional smaller ships based at the destination year-round.

In all, Celebrity ships to about 80 countries in a typical year, hitting all seven continents. They visit over 300 different ports and cruise destinations. Those are big numbers, but not as big as what you’ll find in Celebrity’s biggest competitors. For instance, Celebrity Princess Cruises and Holland America do not offer as large a range of itineraries.

Among the best celebrity cruise itineraries, you’ll find everything from a two-night sampler cruise to the Bahamas to an 18-night voyage to Hawaii and the South Pacific. That said, Celebrity isn’t known for multi-month cruises and around-the-world trips that feature on Holland America’s schedule. Most cruises on the line are in the one- to two-week range.

Europe

Celebrity Apex will move to Europe in 2025. Celebrity Cruises

Some of the most exciting celebrity trips are to Europe, where the line is a significant player. It will typically deploy more than half of its 13 large ships to the continent from spring to fall, making Europe its biggest focus for more than half the year.

The itineraries that Celebrity offers in Europe are wide ranging, with a variety of itineraries throughout the Mediterranean as well as Northern Europe.

In the Mediterranean, the line offers everything from six to 14-night voyages that offer the opportunity to see iconic destinations such as Barcelona; Rome, Florence and Venice in Italy; and Dubrovnik, Croatia, in the same cruise.

Or you can sign up for a Mediterranean cruise that focuses on the Greek islands. Some Eastern Mediterranean cruises that Celebrity offers include stops in Israel and Turkey.

In Northern Europe, Celebrity will take you to famous Baltic cities like Stockholm; Tallinn, Estonia; and Helsinki (until a year or two ago, the line’s Baltic tours included stops in St. Petersburg, Russia, but the war in Ukraine has put those trips on hold). Zero itineraries are also available in Iceland, Ireland, the United Kingdom and the Norwegian fjords.

Among the longest cruises Celebrity offers in Europe is an unusual 14-night “Iceland and Ireland” cruise from Amsterdam that makes stops in Cork, Ireland; Belfast, Northern Ireland; Akureyri, Issafjordur and Reykjavik in Iceland; Lerwick in the Shetland Islands; and Inverness, Scotland.

In Northern Europe, Celebrity ships mostly depart from Amsterdam and Southampton, England.

In the Mediterranean, the line’s hubs are Southampton; Amsterdam; Barcelona; Piraeus, Greece (port for Athens); and Ravenna and Civitavecchia (port to Rome) in Italy.

The line also offers some trips outside of Lisbon.

Caribbean and Bahamas

Celebrity cruise ships often use Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades as a base for sailings in the Caribbean. Celebrity Cruises

Come winter, celebrities turn their attention to Caribbean and Bahamas vacations. While the line typically only deploys one ship to the Caribbean and Bahamas during the summer, it moves the lion’s share of its ships to the region during the winter.

For next winter, for example, the line will have nine of its 13 larger ships heading to the Caribbean and the Bahamas — including its three newest ships, the 3,260-passenger Celebrity Ascent, the 3,260-passenger Celebrity Beyond and the 2,910-passenger Celebrity Ascent. .

Celebrity offers a wide range of Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries from three main home ports, all in Florida – Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades; Port Canaveral and the Port of Tampa. It also offers Caribbean cruises out of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

If you’re looking for something shorter, the line has you covered in the form of quick three-night cruises to ports in the Bahamas and Florida out of Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral. But it also offers an abundance of seven-night sailings to Caribbean and Bahamian ports, as well as longer 10-night and 11-night sailings in the region.

At the core of the line’s Caribbean and Bahamas program is a diverse collection of six- to nine-night itineraries, divided into three broad categories:

  • Eastern Caribbean Voyage
  • Western Caribbean Voyage
  • Southern Caribbean cruise

The seven-night Celebrity voyage to the Eastern Caribbean includes stops in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; and Nassau in the Bahamas.

A seven-night Celebrity trip to the Western Caribbean may include stops in Key West, Florida; Cozumel, Mexico; George Town, Grand Cayman; and Falmouth, Jamaica.

The line’s Southern Caribbean itineraries, which can be as long as 11 nights, will visit destinations such as Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao.

Alaska

Celebrity isn’t the biggest player in Alaska cruises. The giants in Alaska cruises are Princess Cruises and Holland America, which together control a large percentage of the market.

Still, Celebrity typically sends three of its 13 large vessels to Alaska each summer, making it a non-trivial operator in the area.

The Alaska cruise season is short, running from approximately May to September. For 2025, Celebrity plans to deploy these three vessels to the Alaska market during those months:

  • Celebrity Edge: The 2,908-passenger ship will operate seven-night voyages to Alaska round-trip out of Seattle. It will call at the Alaskan towns of Ketchikan and Skagway and Victoria, British Columbia. He will also visit Endicott Arm to see the glacier.
  • Celebrity Solstice: The 2,850-passenger ship will operate seven-night voyages round-trip from Vancouver, British Columbia to Alaska. It will call at Alaska’s icy Straight Point, Skagway, and either Juneau or Ketchikan. He will also visit Endicott Arm or Hubbard Glacier to see the glacier.
  • Celebrity Summit: The 2,218-passenger ship will operate one-way trips to Alaska between Vancouver, British Columbia and Seward, Alaska. It will feature calls to Alaska’s Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and IC Strait Point. He will also visit Hubbard Glacier to see the glacier.

The appeal of celebrity summit one-way trips is that they can be combined with celebrity-guided land tours of Alaska to form 10- to 13-night “cruise tours” that last three to six days.

The land tour portion of such trips includes visits to well-known Interior Alaska destinations such as Denali National Park and the town of Fairbanks.

Galapagos

The 100-passenger Celebrity Flora runs year-round in the Galapagos. Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity is one of the largest operators of cruises around the Galapagos, the wildlife-rich archipelago in the Pacific Ocean made famous by Charles Darwin.

Almost no major cruise lines offer voyages around the Galapagos due to local regulations limiting the number and size of ships operating in the destination. But over the years Celebrity has made a giant leap into the market with first one, then two and now three very small ships dedicated full-time to the destination.

The first thing you need to know about these three ships is that the cruise experience they offer is very different from what you will experience on other Celebrity ships. Just because you like to cruise with celebrities in Europe or the Caribbean doesn’t mean you’ll like sailing with a line in the Galapagos.

For starters, the three Galapagos ships are significantly smaller than Celebrity’s traditional ships. They carry only 16 to 100 passengers, compared to the 2,000 to 3,000 passengers that would normally be aboard Celebrity’s larger ships. This is in keeping with local regulations that say cruise ships cannot carry more than 100 passengers.

Because of their small size, these three Galapagos ships have far fewer onboard amenities than the larger celebrity ships.

But cruising the Galapagos isn’t all about the onboard experience. It’s about seeing the amazing wildlife that inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection.

To that end, all three of Celebrity’s Galapagos ships are expedition cruise ships—the kind that carry landing craft on board to explore remote areas and sail with specialized guides.

Cruise aboard three ships (they’re too small to really be called ships) to see the destination’s famous land iguanas, tortoises, blue-footed boobies, and Darwin’s finches with these guides—all Galapagos National Park-certified naturalists—circling the landings daily.

The most recently built of ships, the 100-passenger Celebrity Flora, is one of the newest and most luxurious ships in the Galapagos. It consists of two penthouse suites spanning the entire width of the ship. Each measures 1,300 square feet. All other accommodations are also suites.

Bermuda

Celebrity Silhouette will move from the New York area to Bermuda in 2025. Michel Verdure/Celebrity Cruise

Celebrity has a long history of offering cruises to Bermuda, with at least one ship sailing to Bermuda each year out of Cape Liberty, New Jersey (one of the ports in the New York City area).

For 2025, the line has scheduled its 3,324-passenger Celebrity Silhouette to sail out of Cape Liberty to Bermuda, with most of its trips to the destination lasting seven nights.

The seven-night Bermuda trip will include only one, extended stop in Bermuda. During these trips, the celebrity silhouette will spend the better part of three days at the destination, with the remaining seven days spent on long open water trips to and from the island.

In 2025 Celebrity Silhouette will also offer a 10-night single Bermuda sailing that will add a two-day stop in Charleston, South Carolina, and a day visit to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. It is an unusual difference from Bermuda cruises offered by other lines.

All celebrity trips to Bermuda in 2025 will take place in May and June.

The bottom line

Celebrity offers a wide range of itineraries in cruise destinations around the world, from the Caribbean to Asia. However, you’ll find the most choices of celebrity tours in the Caribbean, Europe, and Alaska. The line is also known for sailings to the Galapagos and Bermuda. Its significant focus on Galapagos sailings, in particular, is something that sets it apart from other major lines.
