You can visit the outdoor filming of some of Hollywood’s most famous horror films on Universal Studios Hollywood’s Backlot Studio Tour Ride. But most of the time, you can’t step foot inside the soundstage where these horror icons make their big screen debut.

This year, however, Universal Studios Hollywood is opening the doors of one of its soundstages to those brave enough to enter a horror movie of their own.

For the first time, one of Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights will be home to Soundstage 12, the famous filming location of classics such as “Dracula” (1931), “Frankenstein” (1931) and “The Bride of Frankenstein” (1935). As for Bride of Frankenstein, she’ll be a star in this all-new, female-led house called Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines.

When you step into Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines, you’ll be caught in the middle of an epic battle between two unlikely alliances of classic female Universal monsters.

Saskia Van Helsing, daughter of Abraham Van Helsing (who took down Count Dracula with a stake through the heart in the original book and film), and the Bride of Frankenstein Dracula’s daughter, Countess Mary, who had risen from the dead, joined forces to fight him. To exact revenge on the Van Helsing bloodline. Marya partners with She-Wolf (inspired by the 1946 film “She-Wolf of London”) and Ank-Su-Namun (from the 1932 film “The Mummy”) to set the score.

Who will emerge victorious and live to see their bloodline survive another day? You’ll have to visit Halloween Horror Nights — and Soundstage 12 — to find out.
