The Department of Tourism, Government of Puducherry organized a special road show in Bengaluru on July 26, 2024, to promote the state as a leading tourist destination in India.

The event highlights Puducherry’s scenic tourist destinations and unique products, providing a platform for travel agents, tour operators, media personnel and travel trade partners of Bengaluru to explore the various attractions of the state.

The roadshow showcased Puducherry’s rich cultural heritage, serene beaches, delicious cuisine and vibrant local art.

Participants had networking opportunities and had access to first-hand information on the latest tourism initiatives in the region.

Under the guidance of Mr. K. Lakshminarayan – Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Govt. The Puducherry Tourism Delegation from Puducherry was led by Dr. Jayantha Kumar Ray, IAS – Secretary (Tourism), Govt. of Puducherry, Mr. K. Muralidharan – Director of Tourism, Government of Puducherry and Managing Director Puducherry Tourism Development Corporation.

Around 15 representatives from Puducherry Tourism were present to interact with the attendees, share insights and create collaborations to enhance tourism experiences in Puducherry.

The objective of the event was to strengthen ties with the tourism industry in Karnataka and promote partnerships for mutual growth and development.

The road show was attended by key industry representatives and media representatives along with the travel-trade of Karnataka and had an enriching session exploring the charms and attractions of Puducherry.

One of the eight Union Territories of India, Puducherry, popularly known as Pondicherry, is bordered by the southern state of Tamil Nadu.
