If you don’t spend frequently in this particular category, you’ll be better served by Spark Miles for Business. The card offers a fixed 2 miles per dollar on most purchases, giving an effective 3.7% return based on our July 2024 valuation. The card also earns an elevated 5 miles per dollar spent on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.

If you spend a lot in Ink Preferred’s bonus categories, that makes the card a good choice. However, for a simple earning structure, Spark Miles comes out ahead.
