Should you participate?
If you need extra Bonvoy points, this offer is definitely worth considering. However, in most cases, this is a poor return on your expenditure. As of TPG’s July 2024 Valuation, 10,000 Bonvoy points cost only $85.
If you have a big trip planned or will be staying several nights at a Marriott property in the next few months and already have the Bonvoy Card, you can also take advantage of the bonus multiplier on Marriott stays and earn yourself a bonus 10,000 points. While you’re at it.
However, if you have other cards that get a higher return on spend than your Bonvoy card, you’ll get more value by spending your $7,000 and skipping this offer. And you’ll get the biggest return on your spend if you can take advantage of the new card’s welcome offer instead.
Bottom line
