Just when you thought luxury train travel couldn’t get any better, Dior knocks on the door.

Starting July 22, the Eastern & Oriental Express, A Belmond Train Dior will be a revolving home of spas – the first of the LVMH-owned French luxury houses in Southeast Asia. (LVMH also owns Belmond.)

On Eastern and Oriental Express, travelers can explore the sights of Southeast Asia on luxurious multi-day tours, starting from Singapore and traveling through various cities in Malaysia, depending on the itinerary.

Soon, passengers will also be able to luxuriate in the Dior Spa Railway Car, designed to reflect the beautiful Malaysian countryside that the 16-car train passes through.

Once inside, guests will be greeted in a reception area offering a range of rich creams and spa and beauty products, before being escorted back to one of two treatment rooms decorated in toile de joy tiger print.

Spa guests will be able to choose from a “wellbeing menu” offering five Asian-inspired beauty treatments tailored to each individual’s individual needs and preferences.

And while it’s a first for Southeast Asia, the Eastern & Oriental Express isn’t the first train in the world to have a Dior spa on board. Dior’s spa partnership with Belmond’s luxury trains began with a temporary residence on the prestigious Venice Simplon-Orient-Express through Europe. There is now a permanent Dior spa on the Royal Scotsman, a train that traverses one of Scotland’s most scenic routes.

Outside the Dior Spa, passengers aboard the Eastern & Oriental Express can relax in a jazz club-like bar car and sip champagne while taking in the world. They can also dine at the two onboard restaurants, listen to live music with a nightcap at The Piano Bar, or take in the scenery from The Observation Car.

How to book: Starting at $3,750 per trip for travelers on the Eastern & Oriental Express A three-night Wild Malaysia itinerary.
