Wuxi, affectionately known as the “Pearl of Taihu Lake”, extended a warm and vibrant invitation to Hong Kong, known as the “Pearl of the Orient”. Dynamic seasonal change.

On December 12th, the 19th China Mei Flower and Wintersweet Exhibition, along with the Wuxi Cultural and Tourism Spring Product Launch, was held at the Marco Polo Hotel in Hong Kong. Through dynamic roadshows and flash mob performances at iconic landmarks across Hong Kong, the event vividly showcased Wuxi’s abundant tourism opportunities and deep cultural heritage. The initiative aims to boost interactions between the two regions, promote growth and enhance the prominence of Wuxi’s tourism brand: “Pearl of Lake Taihu, Jewel of Jiangnan.”

The event is organized by Wuxi Municipal People’s Government, Wuxi Cultural and Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd. was organized by the Wuxi Municipal Committee’s United Front Work Department and the Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism in cooperation. It brought together leaders from the cultural and tourism sectors of the two regions, representatives from Wuxi’s top scenic areas, such as Yuantouzu and Meiyuan, as well as travel agencies and media professionals from the Greater Bay Area.

The event kicked off with the promotional video “Waiting for you in Wuxi”, giving Hong Kong audiences a glimpse of the captivating beauty of this iconic Jiangnan Water Town. A spectacular guzheng exhibition titled “Beauty of Taihu” further highlighted Wuxi’s cultural richness and charm.

In his speech, Wuxi Cultural and Tourism Development Group Co. Ltd.’s President, Ms. Qi Yajun, expressed the group’s ongoing commitment to developing unique “Tourism+” products. She cites successful events such as the Mei Flower and Wintersweet Exhibition, the Taihu Yuantozu International Cherry Blossom Festival, the International Sailing Rally, and the Taihu Music Festival, as prime examples of her efforts to bring Wuxi’s culture to a global audience.
